Species: Cubaris murina
Morph Name: Glacier
Common Name: Little Sea Isopod or Little Sea Roly Poly
Type: Isopod

Keeping
Dificulty Level:
Beginner
Purpose: Bioactive cleanup; hardy Cubaris
Origin: East Asia; line-bred
Enclosure: Ventilated plastic bin or glass terrarium with 2–4 in (5–10 cm) moist substrate of peat, leaf litter, and cork bark flats.
Climate: Tropical; 68-75 °F (20-24 °C)
Humidity Requirements: 65-75% RH
Hydration: Half spray weekly on one side; light corner pour when the top layer dries. Add a hydration station—it wicks water into the substrate and supplies consistent moisture support for up to 2 weeks. Stations do not replace all spraying, but they prevent pods from drying out and make hydration more consistent between maintenance.
Diet: Decaying leaf litter, rotten hardwood, and vegetables. Offer Muscle Meal 2–3× weekly for breeding, Garden Graze 1–2× weekly, Fungal Feast weekly on wood, and Calci-YUM with feedings or as a constant dish.

Reproduction
Adult Size: 0.31-0.47 in (8-12 mm)
Breed Rate: Moderate to fast
Breeding Season: Year-round
Brood Size: 15–40 mancae per brood
